For me, hydration was personal.

I was born premature and grew up navigating different health issues. That made me aware, from a young age, of how much everyday habits could affect how I felt. Hydration was one of them. When I wasn’t drinking enough water, I often felt worse, and managing my health could feel harder.

But knowing something matters doesn’t always make it easy to remember. Between school, extracurriculars, projects, work, and everything I wanted to accomplish, drinking water was surprisingly easy to put last.

I began paying closer attention to how hydration fit into my day. Most bottles felt purely functional. I wanted something designed around the way my generation studies, works, creates, travels, and stays connected.

That idea became Aura.

I set out to bring thoughtful functionality and considered design together in something people would want to carry, use, and keep close throughout the day.

I started building Aura at 17. Today, I’m continuing to grow the company while attending Claremont McKenna College. Building a brand alongside college has become part of the story: learning, experimenting, making mistakes, and turning an idea I had as a teenager into something real.

This is only the beginning.

Aura is still in its first chapter. My goal is to build a brand that grows alongside the people who use it, making everyday wellness feel a little more natural.
